A beautifully unique Tudor Oyster Elegante that I have just serviced and refurbished.

I have put this on green lizard skin strap which personally I like but appreciate it may not be to everybody's taste, so I am more than happy to change the strap colour at your request.

The Tudor ‘Elegante’ was available with a variety of different dial designs. A Rolex catalogue printed in 1963, the same year as the present watch, described this model as follows: “Tudor Oyster ‘Elegante’. The latest addition to the Tudor Oyster range. Very slim, wrist-fitting stainless steel Oyster case made to the same exacting standards of all Rolex Oyster cases.” The model was available with either a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap. The 1963 Rolex catalogue lists the price of this model as £31 with a leather strap; it is interesting to note that the equivalent Rolex Oyster model in the same catalogue was £37.

Tudor calibre 2402 manually wound movement, lever escapement, 21 jewels, compensation balance, 18,000 A/h, Kif shock absorber; silvered dial, applied baton indexes, ‘Alpha’ shaped hands, centre seconds; polished stainless steel Rolex Oyster case with chamfered bezel, the tops of the lugs with satin finish, screw-down Rolex Oyster crown and case back; case, dial, movement and crown signed.
